Levis Mounds boasts some of the best cross country ski trails in Central Wisconsin. This trail system provides 15 miles of trails groomed for skate and classical skiing, as well as 19 miles of backcountry singletrack routes for the more adventurous types. The trail system is built in a concentric loop design, with the easiest trails lying directly adjacent to the trailhead, and the more difficult loops lying further out on Trow Mound.

A heated chalet with flush toilets at the trailhead helps you take the chill off. Cost is $8 for a day pass, and $40 for a season pass.

Snow shoeing is not allowed on the groomed ski trails, but it is encouraged on the 19 miles of singletrack.

The singletrack is fun to snowshoe on, and if there's been a big snowfall recently you have to make sure to jump off of all the small cliffs lining the trails!
