With a peak elevation of just over 3,000 feet above sea level, Winterplace mountain offers a beginner-friendly 600 foot vertical drop. The resort offers 27 ski/snowboard runs on 90 acres serviced by 9 lifts. The longest ski run is about 1.25 miles long.



Winterplace offers night skiing and is typically open from December through March each year. The slope ratings are generally split: 40% beginner, 45% intermediate, and 15% advanced. With 100% snowmaking coverage, Winterplace will have winter snow no matter the weather outside!

Another youth group favorite and a slight upgrade over North Carolina resorts for those coming from the south. Decent variety and enough room to spread out on slow days.
