Description
With seven lifts servicing 115 skiable acres of terrain, Sugar Mountain boasts some of the longest ski lifts in North Carolina. The resort offers 20 slopes and trails that are rated from beginner to expert (roughly 40% beginner, 40% intermediate, and 20% advanced).
Although the area gets about 70 inches of snowfall each year, the resort is able to augment that with 100% snowmaking coverage of the mountain. Sugar Mountain claims a 1,200 vertical drop which is rare for southeastern ski resorts.
