SolVista (aka Granby Ranch) is a family-friendly ski resort with 6 lifts and about 400 acres of skiable terrain. The peak elevation tops out right around 9,000 feet leaving a 1,000 foot vertical drop.

The SolVista area receives an average of about 220 inches of snow each year and the ski season typically runs from December through April. Slope difficulty ratings are roughly 30% beginner, 50% intermediate, and 20% advanced.

Parking is really close to the lodge area and main lift, so there is a lot less walking that some other 'big mountain' resorts.
Also, all of the trails return to the same base area, so it's good for families. You can split up and ride different trails, but all end up back together.
I ski here a lot with my kids and we all love it.

This is a good family resort. Not a ton of slopes to choose from but when the snow is good SolVista is a lot of fun. If you're not into the crowds at the bigger resorts, SolVista is a welcome change.
