A-Basin is a really strange place to ski. Because half of the mountain/ski runs are above the tree line it can often feel disorienting. For my first few runs there I just felt odd - there weren't any trees to separate runs! Still, once you get used to it A-Basin can be a blast. The best part is skiing the Montezuma bowl. A lift-accessed bowl? It doesn't get better than that! Ski closer to the middle of the bowl for easier lines, or traverse out to the edges for some rocky areas and chutes.
